When you come in for your appointment, after reviewing your X-rays, we will do a thorough exam of your oral cavity to uncover any areas of weakness, decay, inflammation or infection in the teeth and gums. It is imperative to remove harmful plaque and tartar from between the teeth and along your gum line. Using specialized dental instruments allows us to clean off tartar that cannot be removed through normal brushing and flossing.
We use a high-powered electrical toothbrush and specifically designed gritty toothpaste to polish each individual tooth so we can remove any remaining stains and tartar that are too difficult to remove with daily brushing techniques.
Removing plaque and food debris from between the teeth is critical for preventing tooth decay and gingivitis. During your cleaning, all the interproximal or in-between plaque and debris will be removed!

Dental sealants are used to fill small cracks or grooves in your teeth where tooth decay can develop. Sealants are usually applied to molars. The treatment has little or no discomfort and only takes a short time to administer. Dental sealants usually last three to five years.
